The Worst Insurers

Ranking insurers is a harder problem but the Insure Our Future Scorecard provides a great start for us to look at. Some of the worst include:

  • Lloyd’s of London
  • Chubb
  • Starr
  • Berkshire Hathaway
  • WR Berkley
  • Everest Group
  • AIG
  • Tokio Marine

We target these insurers and banks because capitalism is the root cause of the climate crisis. These financial instutions are also a weak point in the system. Unlike fossil fuel companies, they can continue working without fossil fuels.

If we can force them to divest from fossil fuels and other harmful industries, then the industries will find it a lot harder to keep functioning.
